Job Title: Senior Project Scheduler (EPC Substation Projects)
Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Duration: 12 + Months Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM 5:00 PM)
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to support the planning and execution of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects within the high-voltage substation sector. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Primavera P6, a strong understanding of project controls, and the ability to manage and communicate schedules across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update Primavera P6 project schedules for all phases of EPC projects.
Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure schedule accuracy and alignment.
Conduct schedule reviews, identifying logic errors, missing activities, and potential risks.
Perform time impact analyses (TIAs) and integrate approved changes or delays into the master schedule.
Support the preparation of schedule narratives, reports, and supporting documentation for change orders and claims.
Ensure project milestones and contractual requirements are properly reflected in the schedule.
Generate and present monthly schedule reports and progress metrics.
Promote effective use of schedules as active project management tools, not just status reports.
Document and track project events affecting scope, schedule, or performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments - sales, procurement, engineering, construction, and commissioning - to maintain schedule accuracy.
Required Qualifications
5 10 years of experience in project scheduling within engineering or construction project management.
Proven experience managing schedules across EPC project lifecycles (engineering procurement construction commissioning).
Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 (required).
Strong understanding of project controls systems - scheduling, cost control, estimating, procurement, and change management.
Background in high-voltage substation, power transmission, or energy infrastructure projects.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
Hybrid work availability (3 days per week onsite).
