We're currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst - based in Tampa, Florida.

The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst plays a critical role in leading activities that contribute to ensuring Legal & CSIS Data is brought into compliance with the Enterprise Data Governance Policy and Standards to meet regulatory obligations, support business decision-making, and mitigate compliance risks. Establishing a robust data quality control environment is essential for maintaining data governance and regulatory compliance across the enterprise.

This individual will work closely with process owners, data managers, domain owners, and data consumers to understand their data quality requirements, identify critical data for success, and support sustainable data reliability.

This role demands a dynamic, adaptable candidate with strong communication and diplomatic skills to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing a diverse set of responsibilities in a complex, evolving environment.

In this role, you're expected to:
  • Implement, enforce and improve the data governance strategy, framework and procedures.
  • Support data strategy and drive data management, validation, quality and analysis.
  • Define, monitor and enforce KPIs related to compliance with the data governance policy.
  • Lead work streams focusing on broad range of data initiatives including data requirements, issues management, Data Quality rules, lineage, and taxonomy.
  • Liaise between the Enterprise Data Office, Business/Function aligned Data Offices and other key partners in Business/Functions to progress the Data Transformation agenda.
  • Establish a level of trust and credibility by building and maintaining relationships with important partners to ensure continuous improvement, monitoring, control, and governance of data quality.
  • Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional complex problems within / across programs and with senior stakeholders.
  • Develop content for relevant governance forums.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in Data Governance, Data Quality Management, preferably with hands on data management experience.
  • Project Management: Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (preferably Agile and JIRA), with experience in managing project timelines and adapting to evolving requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to balance the needs of diverse stakeholders, managing tight deadlines while maintaining flexibility.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts and tailoring messages to different audiences.
  • Analytical Ability: Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information and make data-driven recommendations.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred, especially in fields related to Data Management, Business Administration, or a relevant technical discipline
