Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases across production and non-production environments in OCI.
Perform database cloning, restoration, tuning, capacity management, and troubleshooting.
Support upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure stability and compliance.
Provide backup coverage for the primary DBA to maintain business continuity.
Collaborate with internal IT leadership to improve processes and database performance.
Participate in maintenance windows, including occasional weekend work as required.

Required Qualifications
5 + years of Oracle DBA experience in an enterprise environment.
Strong proficiency with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Experience managing multi-environment ecosystems (dev/test/prod).
Proven skills in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and replication.
Ability to work onsite 3 days per week (St. Louis area).
Excellent analytical and communication skills.

BONUS:
Experience in higher education IT settings.
Microsoft SQL Server administration experience (a plus).
Familiarity with Linux-based application servers.
