Position Overview
This role combines application development and systems analysis, providing ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and operational support for a portfolio of enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate is an experienced .NET C# developer who is comfortable working in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting mission-critical public sector systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain .NET-based web applications and services
- Provide application support, troubleshooting, and defect resolution
- Develop and maintain RESTful Web APIs and backend services
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and database objects
- Implement secure document upload and file handling functionality
- Participate in Agile/SCRUM ceremonies, sprint planning, and team collaboration
- Develop and execute unit and regression tests
- Maintain source code using GIT repositories
- Ensure applications follow security, accessibility, and coding best practices
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
- 5+ years of experience with .NET Core 3.1 or higher (6.0 preferred) and C#
- 5+ years of experience developing RESTful Web Services / Web APIs
- 5+ years of experience with SQL, including complex SELECT, INSERT, and UPDATE statements
- 3+ years of experience developing document upload functionality in web applications
- 5+ years of experience working in Agile / SCRUM sprint-based development teams
- 5+ years of experience using GIT for source control
- 5+ years of experience developing unit and regression tests
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience developing secure web applications, including protection against XSS and SQL injection and implementing application logging
- 3+ years of experience using Azure DevOps / TFS, including boards and repositories
- Familiarity with SendGrid
- Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- Experience integrating with Identity Providers (IdP) using OpenID Connect (OIDC) or SAML
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools for SDLC management
