Project Controls Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Jose, CA that is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead a project controls team. This is a role with our client, will have to be onsite in Palo Alto and San Jose as needed. This is a contract to hire role. This role requires candidates who are dynamic, open minded critical thinkers, who can develop and implement a Project Controls program tailored towards the company's execution practices in a fast paced design build project execution environment.

Responsibilities:
* Deliver planning/scheduling, cost management, estimating, risk management, and change management functions
* Oversee deliverables impacting high performing teams working cross functionally with engineering, procurement, construction project execution, finance, Infrastructure applications and facilities teams while ensuring your teams are delivering best value to all

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Construction Management, related fields or equivalent; Master's degree in any business, finance, economics or engineering a bonus
* 10+ years of experience on Mega industrial construction projects. Including Large scale infrastructure programs
* Proven experience in project controls, with a track record of successfully managing and executing full life cycle Mega projects
* Strong knowledge of project management principles, including scheduling techniques, cost control, and risk management
* Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Cost Control software)
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills using Microsoft Applications
* Ability to be proactive and to foresee events and react appropriately
* Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project controls, project management and execution
* Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
* Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring innovative ideas and willingness to continuously learn and adapt
* Capacity to work long hours on demanding projects in high stress environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
