Job Title: Integration Engineer
Location: Boston, MA (Two Days Onsite)

Reports to: Associate Director, Integration Engineer
Position Overview
As an Integration Engineer, reporting to the Associate Director of Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining Madrigal's enterprise integration solutions. This role focuses on connecting systems, applications, and data sources through SnapLogic middleware and modern API-driven integration approaches. You will ensure seamless data exchange, automation of workflows, and scalable integration patterns that enable business efficiency and innovation.

Beyond hands-on development, you will actively participate in architectural discussions, collaborate across teams, and drive the adoption of integration best practices that align with organizational strategy and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Middleware: Design, build, and optimize integrations using SnapLogic middleware, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
API & Data Integration: Develop and maintain integrations leveraging REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML standards to enable secure, consistent, and high-performing data exchange.
Enterprise Connectivity: Implement integration patterns across cloud and on-premise applications, with a focus on Workday, Coupa, and NetSuite as core business systems.
Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune integration workflows for efficiency and resilience.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure integration processes align with data security, privacy, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, GxP).
Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders, business analysts, and engineering teams in an Agile environment to translate requirements into technical integration solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with evolving middleware, API management, and integration technologies, proactively introducing innovations that enhance automation and scalability.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in integration engineering or enterprise middleware development.
Proven expertise in SnapLogic middleware for end-to-end integration design and deployment.
Strong understanding of APIs (REST & SOAP), JSON, XML, and related standards.
Must have hands-on experience integrating with Workday, Coupa, and NetSuite.
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) for integration logic.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid integration strategies.
Knowledge of integration governance, API management, and security principles.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with experience collaborating across technical and business teams.
