Job Details
We are seeking a HCX Configuration Specialist to join our client s infrastructure and cloud engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, managing, and supporting VMware HCX (Hybrid Cloud Extension) solutions to enable seamless workload migration, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud operations across environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, deploy, and maintain VMware HCX environments to support workload mobility and hybrid connectivity.
- Work closely with Cloud, Network, and Virtualization teams to ensure proper integration and performance.
- Troubleshoot HCX-related issues including service mesh setup, network extension, and replication.
- Assist in migration planning and execution of virtual workloads between on-prem and cloud environments (VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, etc.).
- Maintain documentation, configuration baselines, and operational runbooks.
- Optimize performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in VMware virtualization technologies (vSphere, NSX, vCenter).
- Strong hands-on expertise with VMware HCX configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPN, VLAN, Routing, Firewalls).
- Experience with Cloud Migrations (e.g., VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, or Google Cloud VMware Engine).
- Familiarity with PowerCLI / scripting for automation is a plus.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or related VMware certifications.
- Experience with large-scale data center migrations.
- Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
