Role: M365 Solutions Architect

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite 4-5 days a week. Candidates must be local to the Austin area.

Duration: 12+ Months

Summary:

The client has issued a request for a M365 Solutions Architect to develop and administer solutions for their M365, Power Platform, and Azure implementations. This M365 Solutions Architect will administer and manage the M365 and Microsoft Power Platform setting up policies, managing users, capacity, and licensing.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develops and manages strategies and architectures for M365, Power Platform, and Azure.
  • Leads Power Platform governance, including CoE coordination, environment management, and impact assessment of changes.

Minimum Candidate Characteristics:

  • 4-7 years of experience with Azure AD, and MS Exchange
  • Experience with Microsoft implementation projects
  • Experience with Power Platforms, Power Apps, Flows, Power BI

Exceptional Candidate Characteristics:

  • Experience with a TX State agency
  • 3 years of experience with ServiceNow or Ticketing system

Responsibilities:

The workers responsibilities and skills must include:

  • Creates a well-informed Microsoft M365, Power Platforms, and Azure strategy.
  • Determines M365 and Power Platforms requirements by analyzing business operations, applications, and security; reviewing business objectives; and evaluating current systems.
  • Obtains M365 requirements, develops and implements designs for new projects, and maintains existing designs and architectures.
  • Caretaker of the low-code Power Platforms strategy, communicates and coordinates effort of CoE governance team, and ensures the Microsoft Power Platform strategy is aligned with the organizational goals.
  • Administers and manages the M365 and Microsoft Power Platform per the established environmental strategy, setting up policies, managing users, managing capacity, and licensing.
  • Continuously updates the CoE releases and manages the TxDOT Governance Hub for Power Platform.
  • Implements corresponding M365 and Power Platform changes to support and ensures that new designs conform to standards and guidelines; are consistent, normalized, and perform as required; and are secure from unauthorized access or update.
  • Reviews changes, realizing their impacts on M365 and Power Platform architecture, and ensures that the impacts are communicated to appropriate parties.
  • Establishes measures to chart progress related to the completeness and quality for enterprise usage; and to improve performance.
  • Communicate and collaborate in a professional and timely manner.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum (Required):

  • 4-7 Azure AD
  • 4-7 Managing M365 technologies: Exchange, Power Platforms, Teams, SharePoint
  • 4-7 Creating Microsoft M365 strategies
  • 4-7 Scoping M365 implementation projects
  • 4-7 Power Platforms, Power Apps, Flows, Power BI

Preferred (Optional):

  • 3 Overseeing and working with vendors
  • 3 Project work
  • 3 Familiarity with ServiceNow / Ticketing System
  • 3 Ability to follow complex workflow Process Bachelor's Degree with at least 1 year of work experience
