UI/UX Developer Senior

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a hands-on, experienced User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Developer to join our client's digital product team. This role will drive the development of modern, accessible web and mobile experiences, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about ADA compliance, front-end development, and creating seamless user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
* Research, design, develop, test, and integrate UI/UX solutions into JavaScript/Java codebases, ensuring technical feasibility and accessibility standards
* Act as both designer and developer, providing subject matter expertise for high-visibility projects
* Create clean, semantic HTML markup that meets WCAG & ADA/Section 508 accessibility standards
* Develop and maintain design systems, reusable UI components, and responsive layouts
* Collaborate with analysts, developers, and architects to define and implement component requirements
* Stay current on UI frameworks, accessibility standards, and front-end best practices
* Participate in usability reviews, iterative testing, and Agile ceremonies
* Support cross-browser compatibility and responsive design for web and mobile platforms

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent technical experience
* Mobile Application Development certification is a plus
* Strong experience with ADA/WCAG accessibility compliance for web and mobile applications
* Proficiency in front-end development: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6), and at least one modern framework (React, Vue.js, Angular)
* Experience with user interface design, usability testing, and design systems
* Familiarity with REST APIs and responsive web development
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills; experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Preferred Skills:
* UI/UX design or web developer certifications
* Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), AJAX, and CMS platforms (WordPress, SharePoint)
* Knowledge of ESQL, SQL, and Java
* Experience in the Electric and Gas Utility industry is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
