This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data from diverse sources to identify trends, optimize performance, and inform strategic direction. The Data Analyst partners closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable reporting and analytics solutions that enhance operational outcomes.

This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data from diverse sources to identify trends, optimize performance, and inform strategic direction. The Data Analyst partners closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable reporting and analytics solutions that enhance operational outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Gather, validate, and analyze structured and unstructured data from internal and external systems
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively to leadership and stakeholders
- Identify data quality issues and collaborate with technical teams to resolve discrepancies
- Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and present findings with clarity
- Support performance tracking and KPIs through metric development and ongoing monitoring
- Conduct root-cause analyses to uncover drivers of business outcomes and recommend improvements
- Automate recurring reporting and data workflows to improve efficiency
- Document data sources, assumptions, methodologies, and definitions
- Maintain strong data governance and confidentiality practices

Required Skills
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in data analysis
- Bachelor's Degree (IT Discipline preferred)
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in data querying and manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel)
- Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret and communicate complex information
- Working knowledge of database systems, data modeling concepts, and ETL processes
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
- Experience in federal, regulated, or large-scale enterprise environments
- Knowledge of cloud analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata, and quality management frameworks
- Statistical modeling or predictive analytics experience
