This is a temporary position.
Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Scrum Master for the Transactional Messaging product teams who also brings strong business analysis capabilities. The Scrum Master will guide and facilitate teams through Agile best practices including leading daily stand up, ensuring the team meets the definition of done, managing story points/burndown, and removing impediments/barriers. You will coach and collaborate with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, other Scrum Masters to foster decision-making and continuous improvement. You will also engage deeply with stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions. You will develop relationships with other technical and business teams to clarify requirements, unblock development work and advocate for your teams.

Candidate Profile:
  • Expert in Agile tools, such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • 8+ years' experience as a Scrum Master and /or Agile coach. Preferred experience using Scrum, Kanban and SAFe methodologies.
  • Strong background in business analysis, including stakeholder engagement, requirements elicitation and process modeling.
  • Agile practitioner mindset with an understanding of common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and iterative development practices
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT full development life cycle.
  • CSM certification or equivalent preferred PMP certification preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification
  • Demonstrated success supporting large and complex products with highly matrixed teams.
  • Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions.
  • Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people.
  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with stakeholders, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence.
  • Ability to speak in front of large audiences and facilitate large, multi-day ceremonies.
  • Skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them to senior management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High level of analytical ability to measure the velocity, capacity, and value of teams' contributions.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output in a team environment.

Core Work Activities:

  • Facilitates the work of Transactional Messaging squads (2-3) on a sprint-by-sprint basis.
  • Responsible for guiding teams through scrum ceremonies including sprint increment planning, daily stand-up, demos, reviews.
  • Drives the squads to continuously improve through the facilitation of retrospectives to improve backlog management, sprint reviews, or higher-level functions.
  • Functions as escalation point for the squad to resolve issues and unblock progress with other internal and external teams.
  • Maintains agile tools and dashboards to track stories, defects, and progress toward commitments.
  • Collaborate with product owners, product managers and stakeholders to gather, analyze and document business and technical requirements.
  • Translates business needs into clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Supports backlog grooming and prioritization, ensuring clarity and readiness of stories for development.
  • Directs and coordinates activities to monitor feature(s) and project(s) so that they progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Develops stakeholder and leadership reporting. Informs the appropriate team members of feature or project status and related issues and impediments and escalates appropriately.
  • Provides inputs to value stream roadmaps and business case validation.
