We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fiber Network Engineering Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional connectivity solutions. This is a permanent position, offering the successful candidate an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and a team of highly skilled professionals. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in FTTH, FTTB, Telecommunication Construction, Strategic Planning, and Team Leadership.
Responsibilities:
As a Fiber Network Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Leading the planning, design, and implementation of fiber network infrastructure projects to meet our business requirements and future growth.
2. Developing and implementing strategic plans for network expansion and upgrades, ensuring optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
3. Managing the fiber network engineering team, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional development.
4. Overseeing telecommunication construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
5. Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to align network infrastructure with business objectives.
6. Managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements are met.
7. Continuously monitoring network performance, implementing improvements, and resolving any issues that arise.
8. Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and implementing these where beneficial.
9. Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to all company and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Fiber Network Engineering Manager position should have the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in FTTH, FTTB, and Telecommunication Construction.
3. Proven experience as an Engineering Manager in a similar role.
4. Strong knowledge of fiber network design, installation, and operation.
5. Demonstrable experience in strategic planning and team leadership.
6. Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
7. Strong vendor management skills, with experience negotiating contracts and managing service level agreements.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate with other departments and stakeholders.
10. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest industry trends and technologies.
11. A professional certification in Network Engineering or a related field would be a plus.
