Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Analyst with extensive experience in UKG Advanced Scheduling to support the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Time and Attendance systems in a hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare workforce management, with a deep understanding of clinical scheduling complexities, union rules, and 24/7 staffing requirements.

This role will play a critical part in ensuring the UKG solution aligns with operational goals, improves staff scheduling efficiency, and complies with regulatory and labor standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and technical-functional lead for UKG Advanced Scheduling within the hospital's time and attendance ecosystem.

Collaborate with clinical leadership, HR, payroll, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, design configurations, and implement scheduling rules specific to clinical operations.

Configure, test, and deploy complex scheduling scenarios including shift differentials, rotations, on-call rules, fatigue management, and compliance alerts.

Work closely with UKG consultants, internal project managers, and cross-functional teams during system implementation or upgrades.

Provide Tier 2/3 support and troubleshoot issues related to scheduling logic, integrations, time capture, and downstream payroll processes.

Develop and maintain detailed documentation including configuration guides, technical specifications, and user procedures.

Assist in developing and delivering training materials for end users, managers, and department schedulers.

Ensure compliance with hospital labor policies, collective bargaining agreements, and healthcare workforce regulations.

Analyze data and reports to optimize scheduling workflows and identify opportunities for automation or efficiency gains.

Participate in project planning, testing, go-live support, and post-implementation reviews.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience supporting UKG Advanced Scheduling (formerly Kronos Advanced Scheduler), including configuration, implementation, and support.

Strong background in hospital or healthcare environments, with in-depth understanding of clinical scheduling workflows.

Experience supporting time and attendance and related workforce management modules in large health system

Ability to interpret and configure scheduling rules for union contracts, labor laws, and departmental policies.

Familiarity with UKG Workforce Central, UKG Dimensions, or similar timekeeping platforms.

Proficiency with reporting tools (e.g., UKG Analytics, Cognos, or custom reports).

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a consultative approach to problem-solving.

Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a hospital system with 24/7 clinical operations, float pools, or unionized environments.

Exposure to UKG Dimensions scheduling capabilities or transition projects from Workforce Central to Dimensions.

Experience integrating UKG with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, or EMR systems.

Knowledge of labor law compliance, staffing ratios, and clinical scheduling best practices.
