Our Chicago area client has a long term contract opportunity for a UX/UI Writer/Content Designer. This role will focus on creating optimal team member-friendly experiences. The ideal writer for this role will be self-motivated with a passion for using the right words at the times to create the most-effective user experiences. This role can be remote.

salary: $55 - 65 per hour
work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:
- Work with Product Development, Stakeholders, Researchers, Clinical, Legal, and UI/UX Design departments to ensure language is on-brand, clear, friendly, and concise.
- Keep current in assigned areas to consistently and effectively represent the brand within the marketplace.
- Manage timelines, milestones and internal details on project work to ensure timely delivery of work.
- Participate in and facilitate meetings with teams in this business area to understand and meet goals and objectives throughout project stages.
- Facilitate effective resolution of problems and roadblocks.
- Coordinate with appropriate internal teams to ensure consistency of language across all touchpoints including but not limited to:
- Calls-to-action
- Navigation
- Headers/Headlines
- Instructional text
- Error messages and system feedback
- Accessibility support
qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years of writing experience
- At least 2 years of UI/UX writing experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Figma
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in writing, editing, copywriting, advertising, communications, journalism or similar
- Experience at a creative agency or large corporation
- Experience communicating ideas to business owners, stakeholders and senior management to persuade, gain acceptance, or sell
- Healthcare experience
- Experience creating/adapting to big brand editorial guidelines-working within an established voice as well as pushing its boundaries where appropriate
- Familiarity with technical documentation for customer-facing UI
