Title: Sr. Azure Cloud / DevOps Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Azure Cloud / DevOps Engineer who has the potential to grow into a senior-level role in the near future. This position fills the technical gap between our senior DBA (who currently handles advanced DevOps and cloud responsibilities) and our engineering team. We need someone who can quickly ramp up, take ownership of cloud platform components, and support both on-prem and cloud-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance cloud-based applications and services across the full Microsoft stack.
- Work closely with the Senior DBA to learn and eventually take on higher-level DevOps and cloud operations tasks.
- Manage and optimize Azure App Services, Azure Storage Accounts/Blobs, Azure Front Door (CDM), and related PaaS components.
- Assist in containerization efforts including Kubernetes (AKS) and the migration toward Azure Container Apps.
- Support existing on-prem CRM system while maintaining integrations with the cloud-based CRM platform.
- Monitor and troubleshoot applications using Azure Application Insights and other monitoring tools.
- Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments (light pipeline engineering; infra-as-code is minimal).
- Perform automation and scripting using Azure PowerShell.
- Collaborate with application engineers and operations teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience across the Microsoft technology stack.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, especially:
- Azure App Services
- Azure Storage (Blobs)
- Azure Front Door
- Azure Application Insights
- Azure Container Apps (plus if migrating)
- Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes and/or AKS.
- Proficiency in Azure PowerShell for automation.
- Experience supporting or integrating with both on-prem and cloud applications.
- Ability to learn quickly with a strong desire to grow into a senior-level cloud/DevOps role.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with CRM systems (on-prem or cloud).
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and pipelines (even if not heavy IaC).
- Exposure to cloud monitoring, logging, and performance tools.
Soft Skills
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and grow responsibilities over time.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally with DBAs, engineers, and product teams.
- Demonstrated potential for leadership and technical ownership.
