Position Overview:

• Serves as a strategic advisor within the FPL Solutions IT Engineering Group, providing expert consultative services across Power Delivery, Marketing and Communications, and Customer Service business units. This role combines deep technical expertise with business acumen to drive innovation, optimize processes, and align technology solutions with organizational objectives across diverse enterprise systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership & Planning: Develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with enterprise business objectives, driving continuous innovation and organizational excellence
• Expert Consultative Guidance: Provide specialized advisory services through comprehensive analysis of 400+ applications spanning homegrown and COTS solutions, delivering actionable recommendations that enhance business capabilities
• Technology Portfolio Analysis: Conduct in-depth evaluations across diverse platforms including AWS, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Unix, Windows, and mainframe systems to develop strategic recommendations for mission-critical through non-critical applications
• Process Flow & Business Capability Mapping: Create current and future state process flows that clearly link business capabilities, products, and operations, enabling comprehensive understanding of how technology solutions integrate with business processes and drive organizational outcomes
• Cross-Functional Implementation Support: Partner with Subject Matter Experts and existing teams to ensure solutions are contextually relevant and effectively implemented across diverse technology stacks
• Performance Analytics & Reporting: Establish metrics and KPIs to measure success, demonstrating tangible business value through advanced analytics and continuous improvement frameworks
• Process Engineering & Optimization: Identify process improvements and innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency across web-based, client-server, cloud, and on-premises environments
• Technical Architecture & Solution Design: Provide technical leadership in architecture decisions, solution design, and technology roadmap development to support business objectives
• Innovation & Emerging Technology Assessment: Evaluate and recommend adoption of cutting-edge technologies, ensuring business units remain at the forefront of industry innovation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field
• 5-8 years of experience in IT consulting, technology advisory, or strategic business roles
• Full stack engineering expertise and large-scale product delivery experience
• Process engineering and mapping skills
• PowerBI and advanced analytics expertise
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with proven track record in strategic advisory services
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level stakeholders
• Experience working with Power Delivery, Marketing and Communications, or Customer Service business functions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in relevant field
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience with utility industry systems and Smart Grid technologies
• SAFe, PMP, or other project management certifications
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce)
