Role: Middleware Consultant-Liferay Experience- Need On our W2
Location Norfolk, VA/Remote
Must Have Skills Liferay: 5+ Years, Middleware Development: 8+ Years, Java/J2EE : 5+ Years, Liferay DXP: 5+ Years, Cloud: 5+ Years ,Software Development: 3+ Years
Optional Skills: Product Owner : 3+ Years
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-on developer with extensive experience in back-end content management software development and solutioning
- Middleware Design and Development: Lead the design and development of middleware solutions using Liferay technology to meet client requirements and business objectives.
- Technical Consultation: Provide expert guidance and consultation to clients and internal teams on middleware architecture, best practices, and Liferay development.
- Customization: Customize and extend Liferay features, portlets, and plugins to create tailored solutions that address specific client needs.
- Integration: Integrate Liferay with other systems, applications, and third-party APIs to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in middleware solutions, implementing optimizations for improved efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex middleware-related issues, providing ongoing support and maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and project managers, to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in middleware development, with a focus on Liferay.
Proven expertise in Liferay development, including custom portlet development, theme development, and Liferay DXP. - Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, and related technologies.
- Experience with middleware technologies such as ESBs, message brokers, and application servers.
- Proficiency in web services, RESTful APIs, and integration patterns.
- Relevant certifications in middleware and Liferay development are a plus
- Must be willing to travel 10-25% of the time for meetings and JAD sessions
