Senior Research Data Analyst : Contract - URGENT:
As we head into Upfronts and into the Summer/Fall season, the Director alone will not be able to cover all the upcoming increased workload that will need to happen to continue to support these key initiatives (many of which are tied to key PR milestones and on Rita s radar), including reporting and requests to come from both the Generation Stream and Competitive Landscape studies (both of which would have been managed by the Sr Manager if she was still planning to return in early May). Further, since the Sr Manager left on maternity leave, all work on our consumer communities, has pretty much come to a halt thus assistance is needed to run critical pre-sales tentpole surveys needed to update key yearly narratives (such as for key Holiday and Halloween opportunity sell-in).
Market-specific reporting for Generation Stream: Once the Global Narrative launches around Upfront timeframe, there will be a need to share market-specific reporting with the regional teams. Assistance is needed to help compile and manage 14 market-specific reports in a timely manner to make sure these reports are shared with the markets by early summer (helping to ensure delivery is not too long after Upfront and/or when the Global Narrative trends/report are launched publicly).
Reporting for this year s Global Competitive Landscape Study: The results from this study will be coming back in May thus assistance is needed to help with both the global and in-market reports (the latter of which there will be 8).
Assist with upcoming requests for primary/strategic research. Currently, given the Director s bandwidth, all new requests for custom strategic/primary research are on the backburner (this includes requests from both CreativeWorks and Ad Platforms). Assistance is needed to help set-up and launch these studies (supporting the research process end-to-end, including questionnaire reviews, survey link reviews, stimulus collection, data analysis, reporting - helping to optimize custom research-related deliverables to ensure the quality and accuracy of the work product)
Assist with day-to-day requests for data and insights to support sales pitches and narratives. This team gets asked on a regular basis to provide data and insight to support sales presentations, narratives, etc which the Director is only able to support at a bare-bones level currently. Assistance is needed to support internal ad-hoc requests, business questions, and/or sales needs, which can include analyzing a variety of data sets from across research efforts (collaborating with additional internal research teams as needed) and then summarizing + communicating key insights in an easy-to-understand, succinct fashion.
Assist with keeping Hulu Huddle and Disney Dialogue running. Assistance is needed with executing quick turn surveys through the team s two survey communities Disney Dialogue and Hulu Huddle all of which are currently on hold. This would include the creation and deployment of custom surveys through these community panels (tasks includes full questionnaire development, survey programming/testing/deployment, data analysis, reporting, and presentation of results to key internal stakeholders).
3+ years of primary/custom research experience required, largely managing custom research (across both qualitative and quantitative studies) and working with syndicated media-related resources
Strong experience in survey writing (i.e. taking a concept or key questions from stakeholders and building out a sound survey design).
Experience conducting research for an agency or company in advertising, media, and/or entertainment (with a strong focus in streaming and/or advertising research preferred)
Experience with project management and data analysis highly detailed and well-organized, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, projects, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills be able to synthesize a lot of information into a highly visual, concise story (expertise in PowerPoint or Keynote) for both sales and/or strategic purposes
Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills (verbal and written, including business writing and presenting to others)
Comfortable giving large-scale presentations
Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Possesses an enthusiastic and positive can do outlook, even when under pressure
Comfortable working within a fluid and flexible culture; adjusts well to change and/or shifting priorities
Analytical and out-of-the-box thinker who has a passion for learning/insights, enjoys problem-solving
Experience in managing and/or directing outside research agencies a plus
Understanding of data and advanced analytics practices, as well as a working knowledge of legal and privacy considerations with regard to data and measurement a plus

BACKGROUND FOR TEMP NEED:
The Primary/Strategic Research arm of the Consumer & Advertiser Insights team has been operating without any team members since the Sr Manager went on Maternity Leave as of mid-November 2024. In the interim, the Director of the team has been covering all work related to any primary/strategic research, including Generation Stream: Global Edition (which covers 14 markets globally) and the latest 2015 Competitive Landscape Study (which has since expanded beyond the US to include 3 LATAM markets and 5 EMEA markets), as well as any other requests tied to thought-leadership and more strategic research (including any research support for CreativeWorks, Ad Platforms, etc). Given this bandwidth, the Director has only been working on those initiatives with the highest level of priority.

The Sr Analyst will be responsible for reporting on global research, consolidating research information, pulling data and information together to tell the story (effective writing skills). They will be working closely with the communications team, other business segments, and various executive levels. Strong collaboration skills are key.
Candidates should have a research background with experience setting up quantitative research studies (it's important they have a quantitative research background as opposed to qualitative) within media/entertainment/streaming industry. Need strong Excel and Powerpoint experience. Preference for experience writing surveys using tools such as Qualtrix.
