Description
We have an immediate need for a contracted EPMO Business Analyst meeting the below requirements. The BA would start as soon as possible and will be working with an internal EPMO department on various projects throughout the Project lifecycle. The contract length will be one year with the option to extend.
This role will focus on partnering with project managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure solutions are aligned with strategic goals, business needs, and operational capabilities.
The Business Analyst will play a key role in requirements gathering, business process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and supporting intake, prioritization, and execution processes. A critical function of the position is to ensure that business needs are clearly defined, documented, and translated into actionable project deliverables that support successful execution and measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have experience working within a centralized project management environment, contributing to cross-functional efforts that span multiple departments such as Information Services, Customer Experience, and Operations.
Skills:
Must have strong experience eliciting and documenting business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Must be able to facilitate workshops, interviews, and process walkthroughs to analyze and document current and future state workflows
Must be proficient in tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel, Visio, and SharePoint; experience with Power BI and ServiceNow a plus
Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
Must be able to interpret business needs and translate them into technical and operational requirements
Must be comfortable interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to create clear, concise documentation
Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Must have familiarity with project and portfolio management concepts, methodologies, and governance practices
Must reside in the United States (there may be occasional travel)
Must be available to work during regular business hours PST (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST)
Must have access to reliable internet to support remote collaboration

Experience
At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a centralized PMO or EPMO environment
Prior experience supporting IT and business transformation projects across departments such as IS, Finance, Customer Experience, or Operations
Experience documenting business requirements and functional specifications that support software development or technology-enabled change
Experience supporting project intake, business case development, and project prioritization processes
Experience working with project managers to align project deliverables to strategic objectives and success metrics
Utility industry experience or prior work in a regulated environment preferred but not required
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
