Workday Analyst
Position Summary
The Workday Analyst is responsible for the support and maintenance of the primary Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other information systems for the Human Resources (HR) Department.
**This position requires the ability to work onsite in Oak Brook, IL on a weekly basis (hybrid)**
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical point-of-contact and works with assigned subject matter experts for functional areas in HR and IT.
- Ensure Workday services comply with professional and regulatory recordkeeping standards.
- Provide Workday subject matter functional expertise for day-to-day support and development.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT leads to resolve problems and provide innovative solutions and system enhancements.
- Assume the lead role for projects in functional areas and for problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain security assignments and administration within HR scope.
- Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation for effective communication.
- Responsible to ensure efficient maintenance and operation of Workday, to provide for optimum functionality, to ensure data integrity and security
- Responsible to provide useful reports, to assist with budgeting and forecasting for labor relations, and to analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities.
- Responsible for all reports and data analytics. Write, maintain and support Workday reports and dashboards including managing accuracy of employee data.
- Work collaboratively to carry out complex work managing and supporting payroll and HRIS.
- Maintain payroll and HR systems data in Workday.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into functional Workday solutions.
- Work with third-party consultants to resolve complex issues in a timely manner
- Organize and assist with Workday system upgrades.
- Creates ad hoc reports, and develop schedule reports as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, human resources or related field or possess equivalent work experience.
- Three years of experience working on Workday as an HRIS professional at the exempt level with a full range of HRIS module experience in recruitment, compensation, benefits, training and development, process flows, and performance management.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
- Continually acquire and apply new knowledge and skills necessary to support Workday.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday certification in one or more modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Reporting).
- Experience with Workday integrations, APIs, or middleware tools.
- Experience with Workday implementations
- Knowledge of HRIS best practices and business process design.
