Job Title: Healthcare IT Hardware Technician

Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite)

Duration/Term: Long Term Contract

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Healthcare IT hardware Assessment Technician to support assessing clinics and physician practice s existing IT hardware. This role involves conducting on-site assessments, identifying IT infrastructure gaps, and providing remediation guidance in alignment with Healthcare Industry s technical and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site IT Hardware assessments for medical practices
  • Evaluate compliance of existing Hardware with leading electronic health record (EHR) software standards
  • Engage with practice managers, IT staff, and EHR software contact to gather information
  • Document findings in a formal compliance gap report
  • Recommend remediation steps for IT hardware, software and security

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years in Healthcare IT
  • 5+ years supporting IT Infrastructure (Workstations, Printers, Scanners, Tablets, eSignature Pads), Network and Security
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA, endpoint security, and network architecture
  • Prior experience conducting IT assessments or audits
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel within Georgia as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Electronic health record (EHR) software
  • Experience supporting small medical practices or outpatient settings
  • ITIL, CompTIA, Security+, or relevant technical certifications
