About the Role
We design desktop, web, and mobile applications for physicians to help them manage patient care and improve health outcomes. Healthcare IT has traditionally lagged behind consumer products in user experience and design, and our mission is to change that.
We are seeking a Senior UX Researcher who is passionate about improving user experiences and ready to tackle the complexity of healthcare systems. This role plays a key part in shaping physician-focused products that delight users and enable clinicians to provide better care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute user research studies that directly influence design strategy and product development
- Plan, conduct, and analyze various types of user research and usability testing
- Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
- Present research results to stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product owners, and product managers
- Support interaction design and prototyping efforts (preferred but not required)
- Share user insights across the organization to promote a user-centered design culture
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Communicate project status and progress regularly to management
Required Experience
- 6+ years of experience in UX research or related roles
- Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Willingness to accept feedback and support team learning
- Availability to travel up to 20%
Core Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability testing, and research methodologies
- Hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Expertise in creating user personas, surveys, journey maps, and usability test plans
- Experience recruiting test participants and managing research sessions
- Ability to select appropriate research methods based on product phase and timelines
- Experience conducting usability studies and synthesizing insights
- Familiarity with remote testing, interviews, surveys, and focus groups
- Ability to clearly communicate research processes, insights, and recommendations
