Job Title: Data Governance Consultant

Position Summary:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Governance Consultant to join our team.
- The consultant will be responsible for supporting data governance initiatives, particularly focusing on federal and state reporting platforms.
- This role requires an expert in documenting reporting requirements, ensuring compliance, and developing data governance frameworks to ensure secure and efficient data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Reporting Requirements: Inventory and document reporting requirements for various federal and state reporting platforms, including RSA-911, RSA-7 OB, VLDS, SSA, and others.
- Ensure Alignment: Ensure that all data governance deliverables align with both operational and compliance needs, ensuring seamless data management and reporting processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to clarify, document, and ensure accuracy in data fields, definitions, and reporting needs, fostering alignment across teams.
- Develop Governance Frameworks: Design and implement data governance frameworks and tools that support secure data access, transparency, and compliance with DBVI s policies and standards.
- Adherence to Compliance Standards: Ensure that all data governance practices meet industry standards and regulatory requirements for security, compliance, and privacy.
- Data Quality Assurance: Monitor data quality to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of data being used in reporting and analytics processes.
- Training & Support: Provide training and support to staff regarding data governance policies, tools, and best practices, ensuring smooth adoption and compliance across the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data governance, data management, or related consulting roles.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state reporting platforms (e.g., RSA-911, RSA-7 OB, VLDS, SSA).
- Solid understanding of data privacy laws, regulatory compliance standards (such as HIPAA, GDPR, etc.), and best practices in data governance.
- Experience working with stakeholders to gather, define, and document reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks used for data governance, such as data dictionaries, data models, and compliance tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex datasets and reporting requirements.
