Job Details

We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer specializing in server-side software and backend development to join the Material Flow System team. You will join a team building server-side software for the systems that control the material movement inside the Warehouses, yards, trucks and within the factory. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building world-class software and a track record of success creating scalable software systems. You will need strong software engineering skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and experience accepting and giving meaningful feedback on technical designs and pull requests.
You should have proven experience using Golang as your main programming language and be comfortable with synchronization primitives, locks, channels and concurrent programming. A successful candidate should also be familiar with Kubernetes concepts, authoring k8s manifests, defining deployments, services etc. Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools is a great plus, such as: GitHub workflows, Helm charts, ArgoCD or Jenkins.

Responsibilities
  • Consistently produce high-quality code that is maintainable and solves real-world problems
  • Lead projects from requirements to architectural design to implementation to testing to production
  • Mentor other engineers and ensure the team globally maintains a standard of excellent craftsmanship
  • Participating in the architecture design process and troubleshooting of live applications with the product teams
  • Prioritize building production-critical software systems that have sufficient validation, monitoring, and support strategies
  • Set up and maintain monitoring, metrics & reporting systems for fine-grained observability and actionable alerting
  • Interface with multi-disciplinary teams including Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain

Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • Minimum 6 year of working experience (preferred 8+years)
  • Demonstrated experience implementing large-scale projects in Go, Java, C++, Rust, or similar
  • Understanding of core aspects of backend development (including SQL databases, networking, and security)
  • Experience with distributed architectures and systems
  • Database experience (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Familiarity managing container-based workloads, using Kubernetes or other orchestration software in production (ArgoCD, Helm)
  • Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and at least one modern frontend framework (React, Angular.js, Svelte, etc.)
  • Comfortable with all aspects of rigorous software development and maintenance (version control, code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to lead technical initiatives from conception to production
