Overview
Analysis and improvement of existing systems, gathering requirements, and conducting data analysis to support business goals. The Systems/Data Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure that info systems are efficient and that data-driven insights contribute to organizational success.
Remote is fine, preference is El Segundo to be able to meet the team. Other locations really don't matter. Just need the strongest possible candidate. Will need to be flexible work hours but we should focus on PST. May need to work off hours to interact with offshore teams.
Highly likely to extend beyond 6 months to help with additional acquisitions.
Communication, collaboration, super organized are key traits - will need evidence of this in previous roles.
This role is heavily focused on Data Conversation as part of an acquisition - previous experience doing this is important. They are merging HRMS from one company to another - look for this.
Working through lot's of different data streams and being able to gather requirements, document them and interpret them is important in this person experience. Analyzing different systems and documenting how the data flows. Experience working through the connectivity of multiple systems how does the data flow from one to the other? How can it be improved?
his acquisition involves 700 people being moved from Workday to Oracle. Experience doing this would be top priority.
Working on a daily basis with various application owners in multiple areas of the business. But this person is the only analyst on the team and must be senior.
Responsibilities:
Candidate needs to be able to purpose solutions to improve information systems, incorporating data-related considerations.
Gather, process, and analyze large datasets to extract important insights.
Clean and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability for analysis.
Utilize statistical methods to identify trends, correlations, and patterns in data.
Develop specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts to represent system and data design.
Create reports, visualizations to communicate findings.
Work with development teams to implement system modifications based on data insights.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and data requirements.
Provide training and support to end-users during system implementation.
interpret data and provide actionable recommendations to support decision-making.
Conduct system evaluations and recommend data-related upgrades or enhancements.
Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in both system and data analytics.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience working with HRMS systems and conversions strongly preferred.
Proven experience as a Systems Analyst and/or Data Analyst.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in system design, programming languages, data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, (Python not a must have), and data visualization tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.
