Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering environments, with a proven ability to translate abstract concepts into detailed software engineering plans.
- 7+ years of experience leading data engineering initiatives, with a strong focus on delivering scalable and efficient data solutions.
- 7+ years of technical leadership and architectural experience in complex, data-driven environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Spark, Databricks, DBT, Python, and Airflow (7+ years).
- 5+ years of experience in designing and developing reusable frameworks to streamline and standardize data engineering processes.
- Experience in architecting software solutions with requirements such as performance SLOs, high availability, reliability, and security.
- Strong understanding of data and system integration patterns and technologies.
- Proficiency in managing large-scale projects.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong conceptual, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to present and deliver technical documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
- Master s degree in a related field.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry.
- Ability to coach and mentor other team members.
