This hybrid role blends hands-on IT infrastructure support with project management responsibilities for high-profile events. You'll work closely with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure seamless IT operations across office locations and marquee events.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, configure, and deploy IT infrastructure for events (e.g., DHCP servers, Wi-Fi routers, cellular routers).
- Conduct on-site surveys and coordinate with wireless providers (T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T) to ensure optimal network performance.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Provide on-site technical support during events, including troubleshooting and real-time issue resolution.
- Manage vendor relationships, including evaluation, negotiation, and coordination for equipment and services.
- Support fixed wireless Point-to-Point solutions and enterprise-grade networking tools (e.g., Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Cradlepoint).
- Maintain documentation including network diagrams, configuration settings, and post-event reports.
- Provide desktop and network support at three office locations as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of IT support experience, with a focus on event technology and infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing DHCP servers, Wi-Fi routers, and Fortinet or similar firewalls.
- Project management experience, including vendor coordination and resource planning.
- Live streaming troubleshooting: Ability to quickly diagnose bandwidth drops or app-related issues under time pressure (e.g., identifying network congestion, isolating devices, switching to backup connections).
- Application vs. ISP troubleshooting: Skilled in isolating performance issues using static IPs and Fortinet router diagnostics.
- Network configuration ownership: Direct experience configuring switches and firewalls (not just overseeing or delegating).
- Streaming app diagnostics: Familiarity with debugging app-level issues (e.g., checking encoder settings, stream keys, platform compatibility).
- Experience with Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Cradlepoint, and fixed wireless Point-to-Point solutions is a plus.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Why Join?
- Mentorship & Growth: Work under the guidance of a seasoned Network Director with hands-on training.
- Work-Life Balance: 24 company holidays, including a full week off around July 4th and Christmas.
- Tech Exposure: Gain experience with enterprise-level technologies and high-visibility events.
- Culture: Collaborative, supportive, and mission-driven environment.
