Job Details
DISH is seeking a Field Engineer who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of our Local Receive Facilities on the East Coast. This dynamic position requires a hands-on approach, combining technical expertise with practical problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in RF systems, video systems, television broadcasting, digital television, and antennas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site activities at East Coast remote locations, including building, repairing, and modifying configurations as needed
- Utilize practical knowledge of RF systems to troubleshoot and optimize performance
- Demonstrate expertise in video systems, television broadcasting, digital television, and antenna technology
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to safe driving practices when traveling between locations
- Leverage computer skills for documentation, networking, and general application usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and modifications
- Ensure all activities adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements
- Demonstrate a detail-oriented approach to work and the ability to self-manage and prioritize workflow
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field is preferred
- 1+ years of experience as a Field Engineer or similar role
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in RF systems, video systems, television broadcasting, digital television, and antennas
- Clean driving record and ability to travel between remote locations on the East Coast
- Proficient in computer skills for documentation, networking, and general application usage
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
