SMT Engineer Needed!
Our state-of-the-art facility in Erie has an exciting opportunity for an experienced SMT Engineer. Reporting to the SMT Manager, the SMT Engineer supports day-to-day operations, effectiveness and influence the next generation of designs. Our SMT Engineers are responsible for implementation, support and direction for reengineering and optimization of manufacturing process, equipment technology, and lean manufacturing process. This role is on the production floor where no 2 jobs are alike.
What Will You Be Doing?
  • Review design documentation, materials, and designs for manufacturability.
  • Provide pre and post manufacturing reviews and finalize process issues.
  • Drive to reach zero defects by continually improving processes.
  • Improvement of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) related processes.
  • Identify and improve product quality, process capability and product reliability.
  • Monitor the SMT process and necessary controls working with production, quality assurance, supervision, and others.
  • Use statistical process control and provide direct, hands-on support of SMT manufacturing processes.
  • Stencil design for complex circuit boards.
  • Programming in Pick and Place, AOI and SPI.

What Will Make You Stand Out?
  • Solid process engineering experience in the SMT printed circuit board industry.
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials Science, Mechanical).
  • A minimum of 5 years experience and progressively increasing responsibility in the design, execution, and sustaining of manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Prior manufacturing engineering experience with technical leadership in high-reliability SMT.
  • Thorough knowledge of validation principles, manufacturing processes, quality systems, and engineering design fundamentals.
  • Technical knowledge of reading blueprints, schematics, electrical/engineering drawings, and electrical and automation programming aptitude.
  • Machine Operation Experience-Must Have!!

This is an onsite role in Erie, PA.
Salary is between $95,000 - $115,000 per year.
