Location: Remote - but have to be currently located in one of the following states: (AL DC DE FL GA IL IN KY MI MD MN MO NC NJ OH PA SC TX VA WV)

Duration: 3-months with likelihood for longer-term extension

Senior UiPath RPA Technical Architect:

A forward-thinking organization committed to leveraging technology to drive efficiency and innovation is actively seeking a highly experienced Senior RPA Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade automation solutions. This strategic role is ideal for a visionary technologist with deep expertise in UiPath and a strong background in solution architecture, governance, and automation strategy.

As a key member of our RPA Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for defining architectural standards, guiding technical implementation, and ensuring the scalability, security, and maintainability of automation solutions across the organization. You will collaborate with business leaders, analysts, developers, and IT teams to shape the future of intelligent automation.

Key Responsibilities

RPA Architecture Leadership: Define and maintain the overall RPA architecture, including best practices for solution design, infrastructure, security, and scalability using UiPath technologies (Studio, Orchestrator, Robots, AI Center, etc.).

Automation Strategy & Governance: Establish and enforce RPA governance frameworks, coding standards, and design principles. Drive adoption of reusable components, REFramework, and modular design across automation initiatives.

Solution Design Oversight: Lead the creation and review of Solution Design Documents (SDDs), ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals. Evaluate automation feasibility and recommend optimal approaches.

Technical Advisory & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to RPA developers and business analysts. Conduct architecture reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide teams on advanced UiPath capabilities and integrations.

Integration & Infrastructure Planning: Architect integrations between UiPath and enterprise systems via APIs, databases, and third-party platforms. Collaborate with IT to ensure robust infrastructure, including cloud (Azure/AWS) and on-prem deployments.

Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with business units to identify automation opportunities, assess ROI, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Present architectural recommendations to senior leadership.

Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging RPA trends, intelligent automation technologies (IDP, OCR, ML), and UiPath platform updates. Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the automation landscape.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

7+ years of experience in software architecture or technical leadership roles, with 5+ years in RPA and UiPath.

Proven expertise in UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, REFramework, and enterprise-grade automation design.

Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including OOP, design patterns, and CI/CD.

Experience with programming languages such as C#, Python, or Java.

Deep knowledge of API integrations (REST/SOAP), SQL databases, and enterprise systems.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

UiPath Certified Solution Architect or Advanced RPA Developer (UiARD).

Experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), OCR, and ML integration.

Familiarity with Git-based version control and Agile methodologies.

Experience architecting RPA solutions on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).

Background in enterprise automation strategy and CoE leadership.
