Job Description:
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in embedded software development to support a client project focused on Yocto-based Linux systems. This role will involve building and maintaining embedded Linux environments, managing build infrastructure, and integrating CI/CD workflows. The ideal candidate is experienced with Bitbake, GitHub Actions, and Artifactory or JFrog repository management.

Job Description:
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in embedded software development to support a client project focused on Yocto-based Linux systems. This role will involve building and maintaining embedded Linux environments, managing build infrastructure, and integrating CI/CD workflows. The ideal candidate is experienced with Bitbake, GitHub Actions, and Artifactory or JFrog repository management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Yocto-based embedded Linux build systems
- Develop and manage Bitbake recipes and custom layers for board bring-up and feature integration
- Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Manage software artifacts using Artifactory or JFrog
- Collaborate with embedded software and hardware teams to ensure reliable build and deployment workflows
- Troubleshoot build failures, dependency issues, and integration challenges across platforms
- Proven experience with Yocto Project and Bitbake build systems
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with Artifactory or JFrog for artifact and dependency management
- Strong understanding of embedded Linux systems and software development
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) and automation
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments
- Background in board bring-up or BSP (Board Support Package) development
- Experience with Docker or containerized build environments
- Familiarity with other CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Knowledge of security and license compliance scanning in embedded workflows
