Location: On-Site - Tallahassee, Florida.

Position Overview
- Office of Information Technology (OIT), seeks a Power BI/Fabric Architect to serve as the enterprise architect for all Power BI and Power Platform-related initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and administration of scalable Power BI solutions and serve as a strategic lead for data visualization and reporting, supporting multiple departments across the agency.
Scope of Work and Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and visualizations.
- Architect and administer the Power BI environment including security, governance, licensing, and gateway configurations.
- Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for metadata, data governance, data analytics, and dashboard distribution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Design and manage data models, ETL processes, and perform data cleansing and transformation.
- Serve as subject matter expert on Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and Azure integrations.
- Provide knowledge transfer, end-user training, and guidance to support self-service BI initiatives.
- Manage multiple environments (Production, Test, Development), and optimize deployment processes.
- Maintain documentation, monitor system performance, and provide ongoing production support.
- Participate in the establishment of a Power BI Center of Excellence and maintain roadmap planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Data Visualization, Communication, or related field and 4 years of relevant full-time experience
- OR
- Associate degree and 3 years of relevant full-time experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) and provide executive-level briefings.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in developing data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI.
- Minimum 3 years of experience building Power BI dashboards aligned to business requirements.
- Experience with full development lifecycle for dashboards, including requirement gathering, design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Expert in Power Platform tools including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dynamics 365, and Azure integrations.
- Strong technical skills in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and data gateway management.
- Experience developing solutions using O365 APIs and creating custom connectors.
- Experience working in an enterprise multi-source data environment with both cloud and on-prem data sources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications or formal training in Microsoft Power Apps and Azure.
- Experience with data modeling tools.
- Familiarity with metadata management, Master Data Management (MDM), data governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide reporting and analytics strategies.
- Previous experience implementing Power BI Centers of Excellence or leading large BI modernization initiatives
Compensation
Compensation for roles at Beacon Systems Inc depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, BeaconGov provides reasonable range of compensation for this role.
