Overview

The Assistant Manager - SAP provides strategic leadership to SAP functional analysts, overseeing operational activities, strategy development, budgeting, and value generation initiatives. This role requires building and managing a high-performance team aligned with IOOGA principles (Integrity, Our People, Our Customers, Growth, and Attitude).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Team Management:
  • Lead and manage the SAP Sales and Distribution IT team, fostering effective collaboration, goal alignment, and professional development.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the team in ERP configuration, analyzing business requirements, and designing and implementing new processes.

Application Support:
  • Manage SAP Managed Services for application support, ensuring optimal system performance and timely issue resolution.
  • Implement and enforce support processes to meet service level agreements (SLAs).

Project Leadership:
  • Oversee SAP projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimize SAP SD solutions.

Strategic Planning:
  • Work closely with senior management to develop and execute SAP Sales and Distribution strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing SAP solutions for business efficiency.

Vendor Management:
  • Collaborate with SAP service providers, ensuring effective communication, contract adherence, and optimal service delivery.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools or services to enhance SAP SD functionalities.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
  • Minimum seven years of professional experience in SAP system configuration and implementation.
  • Previous experience managing SAP IT teams and overseeing application support.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and an expert understanding of business issues.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong leadership experience.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive environment.
  • Capability to drive organizational transformation, communicate openly, and build consensus with stakeholders.


Education Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.

Professional certifications are a plus
Work Days:
Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.

Work Hours:

Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary.
