Job Description: Wiring Harness Design Engineer

  • Qualification: BE electrical / Electronics, Experience - 5-8 Years, Location : Lisle, IL, USA
  • Design Tools: Siemens Capital system(XC, Library, Style manager, Logic, Integrator)
  • Should be able to take ownership in handling project from concept to product implementation.
  • Commercial vehicle experience is preferred
  • Should be able to do load calculation activity. Selection of wiring harness components (Wires, Connectors, Fuse, Clips, Grommets, Terminals etc.).
  • Build functional schematics based on feature, sub system, system level requirements.
  • Working exp of harness design from concept development to product realization (end to end)
  • Should be able to create 2D flattening, interactive And generative harness design experience
  • Good knowledge of component & Technology. (EV, ADAS, Hybrid) Hands on exp.
  • Vehicle Electrical integration, Integration of new Electrical features.
  • Communication with all stake holders
  • Hands on experience on PLM, Teamcenter Data management tool, BOM compare, ECN release activity.
  • Exposure to auto component assemblies and manufacturing processes.
  • Design & development of wiring harnesses & Child parts. Co-ordination with Manufacturer to resolve the manufacturing constraints.
  • Should be able to select proper insulation type with respect to packaging area (Cot tube, PVC sleeve, Taping, Anti-abrasive insulators).
  • Vehicle Electrical and harness BOM preparation.
