About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join a dynamic team modernizing risk applications in preparation for increased trading volume post-asset cap. This role is part of a strategic initiative to enhance scalability and performance across capital markets platforms.
You will contribute to the convergence of legacy systems into the Valuation Adjustment Target Operating Platform (XVA TOP), leveraging modern Java and Power BI technologies. This is a unique opportunity to work on both business-as-usual (BAU) support and greenfield development in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About the Role

You will contribute to the convergence of legacy systems into the Valuation Adjustment Target Operating Platform (XVA TOP), leveraging modern Java and Power BI technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications for capital markets risk systems.
- Support the migration and integration of legacy platforms into the XVA TOP architecture.
- Collaborate with a global team of ~40 engineers (20 onshore, 20 offshore) in Agile sprints.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Ensure system readiness for increased trading volumes and regulatory requirements.
- 5-6 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, REST APIs, and messaging systems.
- Experience with distributed computing, grid computing, or GridGain.
- Familiarity with capital markets or financial services environments.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments (formal Agile experience not required).
- Exposure to risk management systems or valuation adjustment platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
