Job Summary:

The Lead Application Developer will act as a technical lead who will collaborate with developers, testers, project teams, business, and vendors to help maintain, enhance, and develop/build applications. These applications could be stand-alone or using multiple vendor solutions and/or cloud capabilities. This will involve collaboration and recommendations on the architecture, as well as coordination with other development and infrastructure support team members to deliver the full solution working within required development and change management policies and practices. This will also involve direct development as well.

Ideal Candidate will have qualifications in:

Leading large projects involving multiple developers and large teams

Knowledge of Healthcare Payer space preferred but not required

Knowledge of billing & financial systems a plus but not required

Technologies :

Language: C Sharp (C#)

Scripting Language: Java Script, jQuery, HTML, XML

UI Controls: Telerik

Framework: .Net 4.7

Database: MS SQL Server, Oracle, Big Query (Google Cloud Platform)

ETL Tool: SSIS

Reporting Tool: SSRS (Using only the library)

Application Program Interface (API): REST, SOAP and Web services

Package Managers: NPM, NUGET

Front End Web Framework: Angular

Patterns: MVC

Qualifications :
  • Minimum: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent knowledge acquired by work experience and training.
  • 3-7 years of experience as tech lead or lead developer.
  • 3-5+ years in Web Application development and support experience.
  • Ability to lead the overall application software design, research, configure, build, test, and implementation.
  • Understanding of DevOps and Agile practices.
  • Translate and document business problems and/or user stories to functional applications.
  • Good understanding of cloud and other architectural patterns.
  • Ensures projects are completed within committed time and budget.
  • Create detail design artifacts and technical documentation.
  • Lead design reviews.
  • Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solution while considering innovation and longer-term outlook.
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Maintain code quality standards.
  • Works across multiple applications and allocates time appropriately to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Understanding of developing and maintaining secure applications.
  • Works independently without supervision with latitude for independent judgement, Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement.


Hybrid

Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
