Job Details

We are seeking a Mid-Level Mainframe Developer with strong experience in Mainframe development, debugging, and batch processing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Db2, stored procedures, JCL, and batch job management. This role requires strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills to support business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe applications and components.
  • Work extensively with stored procedures, including design, development, debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Manage and support batch processes, batch scheduling, and execution using JCL and other mainframe tools.
  • Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshoot production issues, and provide timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Execute unit testing, integration testing, and provide support for UAT.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and support materials.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6 9 years of total IT experience (not considering profiles beyond 11 years).
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Db2 (including stored procedure development & debugging)
    • JCL (Job Control Language)
    • COBOL, VSAM, and mainframe utilities
  • Proven expertise in batch job creation, modification, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid onsite environment in Jersey City, NJ.
