Role: Automation QE (Web based UI automation, BDD)
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: Long term
Job Description:
Banking & Payments background, preferably checks processing
Intermediate experience in UI test automation in web based AND/OR thick client applications
Proficient in Agile & BDD
Key responsibilities:
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Designing and developing comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Executing tests, including manual and automated testing, to identify defects.
- Creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Performing regression testing to ensure changes don't introduce new issues.
- Testing user interfaces and ensuring ease of use.
Defect Management:
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using issue-tracking tools.
- Collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.
- Providing constructive feedback on quality assurance processes.
Process Improvement:
- Analyzing testing processes and suggesting improvements.
- Participating in code reviews.
- Developing and implementing quality standards and procedures.
- Staying updated with industry best practices and technologies.
Documentation:
- Creating and maintaining documentation for testing procedures, test cases, and defect reports.
- Preparing quality reports and analysis.
Collaboration:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and testing strategies.
- Communicating test results and findings clearly and concisely.
