Job Details
RESPONSIBITIES:
The Product Owner manages and prioritizes the product backlog to ensure the team delivers actionable, high-value work within each sprint. They ensure user stories are well-defined and meet the definition of ready, facilitate Agile ceremonies, maintain sprint progress in Azure DevOps, and participate in scrum alignment across teams. As a key link between implementation teams, they also document technical debt and support refinement and planning activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Three or more years of experience in software product development, or relevant experience as part of a cross functional software development team; experience in insurance industry a plus.
- Knowledge of the workers compensation domain is beneficial
- Experience with backlog management and prioritization
- Stakeholder alignment and relationship-building
- Agile ceremony facilitation
- Ability to do research and work with subject matter experts where necessary
- Strong communication skills, including frequent updates to team and stakeholders
- Ability to raise / discuss risks or issues to the project
- Required proficiency in Azure Dev Ops backlog management and sprint management.
