Primary Location: Lowell, Massachusetts
V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Java Backend Developer Specialty - Software 5 for our premier client in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Education and Experience »
- BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar degree program and 8+ years of software product development experience in a Linux distributed applications environment.
- Network management software experience is desired.
- Experience with design, development of large-scale distributed applications.
- Solid understanding of network programming, including Sockets, TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP and related networking protocols.
- Highly proficient in Java with in-depth knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot frameworks, Kafka and Kafka Stream, Web Services.
- Understand database design, experience using SQL and NoSQL database and distributed in-memory data store such as Apache Ignite or Redis.
- Exposure to cloud native architecture and experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud deployments and containerized applications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »
Must Have:
- Strong Java coding software development skills. NOT full stack engineer.
- Proficient programming high performance Java based software.
Good to Have:
- Python experience.
- DOCSIS or pound network.
Order of Preferences:
- Relational DB, SQL, Cassandra, Solr
- RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kafka Stream, SNMP
- Cable and/or client network, Docsis, PON
- Spring Boot, Spring frameworks, Apache Ignite.
- Cloud preferred.
- Network management, network, finance, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with a variety of technologies and groundbreaking products.
- Will design and develop product features that tackle market problems within project schedule deadlines while focusing on performance and scalability improvements.
