We are currently looking for Sr. Test Engineers to join our team in the Washington D.C. region.

As a Senior Test Engineer, you'll lead efforts to validate, optimize, and safeguard mission-critical applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability in high-stakes environments. You will spearhead testing strategies that ensure federal systems operate at peak efficiency. Your expertise will guide teams through software validation, automation, and performance testing, helping agencies execute their missions with confidence. Through leadership and technical precision, you will drive innovation in system testing that serves the nation's most essential programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Create software tests and automate test cases
  • Perform application testing, validate bugs, and isolate issues
  • Write and initiate tests, then analyze and report the test results in the ticketing system
  • Perform configuration management, change management, and release management
  • Test high performance and large-scale immersive systems
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies
  • Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products
  • Write, implement, and report status for system test cases for testing
  • Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports
  • Serve as a subject matter specialist providing testing expertise for complex to highly complex software/hardware applications
  • Direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with an emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design, and test tools selection
  • Design, plan, create, execute, and provide System(s) test reports
  • Review government test plans and test reports for technical competence, effectiveness, and compliance with standards
  • Observe and evaluate the execution of customer acceptance test activities
  • Perform integration activities involving developed application software
  • Identify and document problems and issues, providing specific guidance on root-cause and remediation
  • Analyze the requirements for each test event and assist in the scheduling of System(s) non-operational environments test assets
  • Support the presentation and formal review or audit of test results, providing briefing and decision support material
  • Maintain and provide controls for multiple test software and hardware baselines

Here's what you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
    • An additional 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree
  • 7+ years of experience in software testing, automation, and system validation
  • Experience validating requirements by developing test plans/procedures, test cases, test scripts and presenting findings to stakeholders
  • Experience with debugging and version control tools
  • Expertise in automated testing tools such as Selenium and Cucumber
  • Strong familiarity with Agile software development lifecycle processes and best practices

Bonus Points if you have:
  • Strong analytical skills for analyzing test cases and providing progress reports
  • Demonstrated leadership in testing methodologies, guiding teams in implementation and optimization
  • Comfortable leading teams and/or testing initiatives
  • Ability to design, plan, create, execute, and provide System(s) test reports
  • Familiarity with government standards and test plans & excellent skills in reviewing government test plans and test reports
  • Ability to observe and evaluate customer acceptance test activities
  • Knowledge of high performance and large-scale immersive systems
  • Experience with various automated test tools and strategies
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with Java 2 Enterprise

  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
