Senior Business System Analyst
Remote
$50-57/hour
The Senior Business System Analyst will be focused on implementation of packaged systems and/or implementing/upgrading infrastructure. The focus for this role is on BSA (with some testing knowledge), not technical knowledge. The successful candidate will be passionate about working closely with the Business and Technical teams to deliver value to our customers. The BSA is a senior level role responsible for high-level analysis of current state, system development goals, business and end-user needs, eliciting and documenting requirements, and making recommendations.
Senior Business System Analyst Responsibilities:
- Serving as a liaison between business and/or technology groups by identifying and defining complex systems requirements, scope, and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business systems and IT-industry requirements.
- Working closely with business customers and technical teams to understand planned enhancements, systems modifications, or specifications for new systems.
- Facilitating working sessions to elicit requirements from the technical team, track progress, and report status to Project Leadership and Sponsors
- Working with the PM and project team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance team velocity and/or quality in their deliverables
Senior Business System Analyst Requirements:
- Experience as a business systems analyst, or business analyst aligned to a technology platform/service
- Proficient at Requirements Elicitation, Requirement Management, and Use Case Modeling
- Experience with the iterative-methodologies similar to Agile or Scrum.
- Experience with implementation of vendor solutions/systems and/or internal-application development projects
- Strong experience in TFS or Azure DevOps (AzDO) (most desirable) or other requirement management tools
- Strong analytical background
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum 4 years of related work experience in requirements gathering activities
- In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher, the completion of a technical training program, and a minimum of 4 years related work experience in requirements gathering activities
- In lieu of the above, a high school diploma or GED or higher and a minimum of 6 years related work experience in requirements gathering activities
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
- Experience with infrastructure projects
- Experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst (tester) focused on Functional and Risk Based Testing
- Experience using AI to generate/refine BSA artifacts
- Experience and/or knowledge about cyber security practices related to ransomware recovery: Access & Segmentation, malware/virus removal and infected system "cleaning", tools/process/patterns/best practices for ransomware recovery (i.e. backup and restore, clean rooms, Isolated Recovery Environments, etc.).
