The Lead UX Designer will be responsible for imagining future-proof usable and desirable digital experiences for mobile apps and responsive web and have the capability to communicate ideas at a broad level to bring these experiences to life from beginning to end and anywhere in between.

What You'll Do:

  • Design future-ready digital experiences across mobile apps and responsive web platforms.
  • Lead UX efforts from concept to execution, solving complex problems across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and deliver cohesive digital experiences.
  • Create and maintain UX artifacts such as:
  • Low- and high-fidelity wireframes.
  • Sitemaps, taxonomies, and user flows.
  • journey maps and annotated interaction specs.
  • Visual mockups (as needed)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help deliver on a mobile and desktop UX vision for our best-in-class eCommerce ordering system.
  • Define user needs.
  • Develop workflows, information architecture, and interaction models.
  • Design and maintain governance over mobile and tablet UX.
  • Contribute to visual and written content design.
  • Work closely with product teams to prioritize and define features.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams, with flexible hours to accommodate time zones.

In this role you will create, defend (professionally) and deliver many or all of the following and more:

  • Very detailed low and high-fidelity wireframes, sitemaps, taxonomies, user flows, journey maps, and annotated screen interaction specifications
  • Design Mobile and Tablet application UX and design.
  • Maintain governance over mobile and Tablet designs.
  • Visual designs and mock-ups (secondary to your Rockstar UX skills)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end user experience design efforts with confidence and expertise.
  • Present a strong portfolio that highlights your direct contributions and demonstrates a deep understanding of UX best practices and standards.
  • Bring a user-first mindset, with core strengths in interaction design and experience in UI, UX research, and content strategy.
  • Design with an understanding of complex, data-driven systems and robust databases.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Advocate for UX principles and efficiencies to development and cross-functional teams.
  • Understand the nuances of mobile platforms, responsive, and adaptive design.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively-sharing the right information at the right time.
  • Adapt easily to change and thrive in a dynamic, evolving team environment.
  • Possess working knowledge of how design translates into code across various interfaces and devices.
  • Lead or actively participate in collaborative whiteboard sessions for mobile and responsive web design.
  • Work effectively in agile or iterative environments and enjoy close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate successfully in virtual and distributed team settings.
  • Embrace continuous learning and seek out opportunities to grow your skills.
  • Be flexible with working hours to accommodate collaboration with offshore teams.
  • Be open to occasional travel (up to 10%) to engage directly with users and stakeholders.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and storytelling to communicate design decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Champion human-centered design methodologies across the organization.
  • Design intuitive experiences for complex, data-centric applications.
  • Understand and apply accessibility standards to ensure inclusive design.
  • Be familiar with Atomic Design principles and how they influence scalable design systems.
  • Proficient in Figma; prototyping skills in Figma and Axure are a strong plus.
  • Experience conducting UX research and applying insights to design.
  • Training or certification in designing for accessibility is preferred.
  • Education At least 5 years of experience designing software in a human-centered approach.
  • BS/MS degree in human factors, psychology, design or equivalent experience.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar Neutrino Notes
  • Mid Career designer to senior
  • At least one to be stronger and the other can be a floater across the team
  • Most of the designers will be embedded in Workstream.
