In this position...
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-tech area of leveraging simulation tools to move propulsion system calibration efforts from vehicle and dyno to CAE/HIL by exploiting strengths and eliminating weaknesses of HIL modeling and testing capabilities.

What you'll do...
Seeking an engineer with a systems approach to help revolutionize calibration engineering with HIL-based CAE methodologies.

Position Duties
  • HIL modeling and testing capability.
    • Develop understanding of system strengths and weaknesses.
    • Work with management to set priorities and plans for exploiting strengths and eliminating weaknesses.
  • Enhance and improve the HIL capabilities for calibration DV and Development.
    • Model implementation.
    • Test tool implementation and development.
  • Interface with modeling and calibration teams for HIL and correlation enhancements.
  • Commission new applications on HIL Rigs including model integration, signal mapping, and validation.
  • Develop, document, and standardize process improvements for the HIL application commissioning.
  • Work with Test engineers to debug issues with the operation or performance of the HIL Rig.


Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience with powertrain systems and interfaces.
  • 3+ years of engine or transmission calibration (or related) experience strongly recommended.
  • Experience using CAE based tools.
  • Experience in tool development using Matlab both scripting and Simulink
  • Ability to understand and interpret C coding.
  • Data based decision-maker.
  • Clear communicator.
  • Highly effective collaborator.


Preferred requirements
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing dSpace hardware and tools.
  • Experience with Intrepid and/or Vector CAN tools and software
  • Experience with ATI Vision calibration software and toolsets
  • Experience applying calibration development or DV methods in HIL or SIL environments.
  • Experience with ECU Test.
  • Experience with python scripting.
