Staff Frontend Engineer

My client is a dynamic and innovative tech company dedicated to revolutionizing the college application process. Their mission is to simplify and streamline the journey for students applying to multiple schools simultaneously, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future education. As they continue to expand and enhance the platform, they're seeking a talented Staff Frontend Engineer.

As a Staff Frontend Engineer on the team, you will contribute to the development of their cutting-edge UI dashboard. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate UI/UX designs into responsive, high-performance user interfaces. The tech stack for this role is React/Typescript. The ideal candidate is a self starter, team player, and has great communication skills!

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on building complex, data-driven web applications.
• Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Solid understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3, and experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less).
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX) and asynchronous programming using promises, async/await, etc.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience with integrating frontend applications with backend services.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and proficiency in using development tools and IDEs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
