This role serves as the primary point of contact for all audit and compliance initiatives across a data center metro. The Datacenter Program Manager - Compliance, leads operational readiness efforts, including site safety drills, tabletop exercises, and regular compliance assessments. The role fosters a culture of safety and security by aligning with CO+I policies and ensuring completion of compliance training and assessments.

As a CO+I DCPM Compliance, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the single point of contact for all datacenter metro level audit and compliance projects, initiatives, and ongoing operational activities including site safety drills and tabletop exercises.
  • Empowering a culture of safety and security in global datacenter operations by complying with CO+I's safety programs and policies and completing compliance knowledge assessments.
  • Developing positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Perform regular site inspections for audit readiness and compliance and lead corrective action plans on gaps and shortfalls identified through assessments.
  • Implement strategies that aid overall compliance of the Data Center Metro, ensure the successful onboarding of new facilities, and continuously improve operational efficiencies linked to the compliance and audit program.
  • Complete quarterly Enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance control including tools audit tasks, access review tasks, wireless scan tasks, Critical Environments and EH&S (Environment, Health, and Safety) site assessments, ensuring all compliance standards are met.
  • Liaise with procedural document owners to resolve gaps identified through assessments, audits, or other observations and ensure all historical and current auditable documentation (physical and digital) is maintained in accordance with Microsoft document retention policies.
  • Manage and maintain all environmental, emergency, and business continuity plans/documents for the Datacenter Metro.
  • Spend 25% of the time on the floor ensuring metro wise standards are maintained within all data centers and that we are compliant with cleanliness, stowage, 5S, in process work standards, life safety, and others.
  • Share best practices, assists others in learning role, process, procedures, and mentors others
  • Promotes a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of datacenter activities

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND 3+ years of operations experience in mission c ritical environment infraestructure environments
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in managing compliance and audit projects in large-scale mission critical infrastructure environments
    • OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or localgovernment agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate's citizenship will be verified with a validpassport.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field AND 8+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU), or working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling)

    OR High School Qualification or equivalent AND 10+ years experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU), or working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling)

    OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, including data extraction from diverse sources, data transformation and cleansing, and loading into data warehouses or other target systems to support data-driven applications, reporting, and analysis.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Possess a record of accomplishment in operational excellence.
  • Possess technical expertise and the skill to communicate complex issues and requirements clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated business acumen that includes experience working with leaders at all levels of the organization.
Data Center Operations Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,600 - $202,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,500 - $225,800 per year.
