RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking an AWS Engineer to join their team.
Duties:
* AWS Engineer will identify the foundational components needed to manage AWS infrastructure
* Streamline the procurement process for AWS accounts
* Establish core networking and security components required for hosting applications and platforms on AWS
* Build automation pipelines to scale account orchestration workflows
* Identify and address gaps in existing processes to improve the customer and platform experience when using AWS as an alternative cloud provider alongside private cloud solutions
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience building automation using Bash/Shell scripting
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions
* Experience designing AWS VPCs for various use cases, including knowledge of AWS Transit Gateway associations, NAT Gateways, and Direct Connect
* Solid understanding of AWS IAM and AWS networking principles
* Understands the complexity of diverse application/platform design patterns and works toward building scalable solutions
* Familiar with version control systems like Git or SVN
* Knowledgeable in SDLC tools such as JIRA and its lifecycle
* Proficient in a programming language of choice, preferably Python, Java, and/or Golang
* Skilled in creating AWS IAM policies and role bindings for multiple AWS services, supporting both single and shared access models across teams and users
* A strong team player who fosters collaboration and a culture of unity in cloud platform development
* Applies -secure-from-start- principles in software development practices
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
