Principal Product Manager with Maritime Workforce Platform (B2B SaaS)

Product Leadership & Strategy

  • Partner with the CPO to co-own vision, strategy, and execution for a suite of modules within companies maritime workforce platform.
  • Develop customer-centric product strategies balancing market needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives.
  • Lead product discovery and validation efforts to de-risk investments and inform the roadmap.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, epics, and user stories.
  • Own the backlog for your portfolio writing/refining stories, prioritizing features, and ensuring definition of ready.
  • Partner with engineering on sprint planning, release readiness, and trade-off decisions.
  • Define and monitor key product KPIs to drive continuous improvement in adoption, retention, and ARR expansion.
  • Act as the voice of the customer and primary liaison for your product area with internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct deep customer discovery to understand user pain points and unmet needs.
  • Leverage data, qualitative research, and industry insights to prioritize features that create measurable impact.
  • Establish product best practices for backlog management, agile rituals, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Mentor junior product or business analyst resources as they are hired; help lay the foundation for a scalable product organization.
  • Be a culture carrier for customer obsession, evidence-based decision-making, and lean experimentation.
  • 5 8+ years in product management, including ownership of major product areas in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven ability to define and execute product strategies while personally managing backlogs and releases.
  • Experience with workforce management, HR tech, compliance, maritime/logistics software, or adjacent fields.
  • Strong discovery skills using frameworks like JTBD, Kano, or Lean Product.
  • Ability to drive alignment across senior leadership, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
  • Excellent data analysis and product storytelling skills; comfortable presenting trade-offs and KPIs to executives.
  • Experience unifying products or platforms after acquisitions.
  • Knowledge of pricing and packaging for enterprise SaaS.
  • Familiarity with scaling product teams in a private-equity-backed environment.
  • Understanding of product-led growth (PLG) principles.
