Controls Engineer
Location: Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 Hours, ONSITE)
Pay: $130,000-$150,000

Job at a Glance
We are looking for a Controls Engineer that can contribute to the development of control systems for rides, transportation, textiles, and entertainment. You will design electrical and software control systems to monitor and control industrial automation and specialty equipment. 


Responsibilities

  • Write scope of work, system requirements, and design documents

  • Design and install ride control or industrial automation control systems

  • Design hardware and software for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Industrial User Interfaces (HMIs)

  • Create electrical wiring diagrams, control diagrams, and control panel assembly drawings

  • Ensure compliance with industrial electrical standards including NEC, NFPA, and UL

  • Develop control system test plans and support commissioning activities


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in writing scope of work, system requirements, and design documents

  • Experience in the design and installation of ride control or industrial automation control systems

  • Hardware and software experience with PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs

  • Experience creating electrical wiring diagrams, control diagrams, and control panel assembly drawings

  • Understanding of industrial electrical standards (NEC, NFPA, UL)

  • Experience developing control system test plans and commissioning

  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

  • Preferred Education: Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
