RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business IT Manager in Tallahassee, FL.
Overview:
The IT Business Planning Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the planned technology environment is aligned with the technology strategic direction of the OIT while meeting business office needs at the Department of Transportation. They will actively meet with the leadership team to understand the goals and objectives that drive the business strategy for each area. They will need to understand how current and proposed technology supports and facilitates accomplishment of those goals and objectives. They will then review the impact of technology proposals against the current technology environment and assess potential risks to current business goals and objectives.
The candidate must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of resource and demand management, business intelligence, and data management tools and techniques. The candidate must be able to coordinate efforts on multiple large and/or cross-functional projects of high complexity that will have a greater impact on the enterprise. The candidate must have experience in developing and maintaining working relationships with business office staff. The candidate must provide strategic consulting level support, guidance, and research for key IT initiatives, programs, and projects.
The submitted candidate must be able to perform the following duties and/or tasks; Duties of the selected candidate will include, but not be limited to:
* Gather and document the goals and objectives related to the IT business strategy for the Department of Transportation and help document them as requirements
* Support project managers and business analysts performing gap analysis between Department owned technology and future required solutions to meet growing business needs
* Plan and prioritize integration of new and existing technology according to business needs and strategic direction
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or financial related field and five years of professional work experience
* Work experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the degree; Special consideration will be given to candidates with Scrum Master certification
* The candidate must have a minimum of seven years of IT and business work experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments
* The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is looking for a senior level Business Planning Manager that can work independently and has excellent communication and organization skills
* The candidate must be able to follow State, Department, and OIT processes and procedures
* This candidate must have a working understanding of program and project management responsibilities, possess strong strategic planning and tactical solutioning skills, as well as an extensive understanding of the state IT requirements, Rules 60GG-1 through 5, F.A.C.
* Experience managing team(s) responsible in strategic planning, infrastructure and/or operational support functions; This experience must also be in a professional environment in public sector technology organizations
* Candidate will be expected to describe multiple past experiences with business process tools and how they were deployed for a successful outcome
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
